With the increase in demand for new homes from the government of up to 300,000 a year, builders are struggling to keep up. The Home Builders Federation has reported that 91% of new home owners would recommend their builder which is good news for the industry but 94% of new home owners reported defects to their builder so clearly there is still work to be done.
Customers want to be able to enjoy their new home without the stress of having to snag it themselves. NHQS take this headache away by producing a comprehensive snagging report identifying defects that fall outside the tolerances set out by the house builders warranty provider such as the National House Building Council (NHBC) or Premier Guarantee giving you the confidence to approach the house builder to rectify any defects within the warranty period and ensure the quality of your new home. We would advise that a snagging report is carried out within the first few weeks on occupation giving the builder the opportunity complete the works with the 8 week survey period.
What we do
Having managed the construction of new build and refurbishment of properties for over 20 years, NHQS have gained a vast amount of experience through practice and training in identifying defects that are not perhaps obvious to the untrained eye. NHQS use modern technologies such as thermal imaging cameras and borescope cameras to identify defects that are not visible and likely to cause defects at a later date. Our inspection includes all internal rooms, roof space and externals to ensure your home has been built to a high standard.
